Cranio-maxillofacial (CMF) is a sub speciality from Plastic surgery deals with injury to the soft tissues of the face, neck, and scalp, as well as to the hard tissues of the facial skeleton

CMF surgery treats injuries and reconstructs broken or damaged bone of the face and jaws from trauma due to car accidents, sports injures, falls and violent actions.
Cranio-maxillofacial surgeons deal with bone, skin, nerve, muscle, teeth, and other related structures in the face.

Orthognatic surgery or corrective jaw surgery, involves a spectrum of surgical procedures that aim at correction of the position of the upper jaw, lower jaw and chin, to improve and restore both form and function.  It also deals with disturbance in the teeth bite, which should be corrected during surgery. Patients usually appreciate a great change in their face appearance and proportions as well as their dental occlusion and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function.

Cranio-maxillfacial surgeons also treat cases with congenital and acquired deformities of the head, skull, face, neck, jaws and associated structures.

Craniomaxillofacial surgeries restore the face functionally and Shape with no or minimal apparent scars
